Deutsch ist unten Like last week I want to write a short summary of last week. It has been a busy one again. Will this busy time ever end? I hope not, because having deadlines is what makes me get up in the morning! I had my first blog post for the lovely guest team of ‚Design Memory Craft Faber-Castell ‚. If readers see a blog post come live, the author has finished his work days or even weeks ago. I am a person who has no patience. I cannot wait to show my creations. So the time I have to wait and keep quiet is tough. But in the end I can show and share and hope someone likes it. I made a jewelry hanger from a white canvas. It was so much fun, because I have put some of my beloved crochet in there. I made a sweater a few years ago and didnt like it, but the lace on the bottom was pretty. Deutsch & English Dearies! Last week has been a busy one. For my own diary I want to make a short summary. First two books arrived in my mailbox which contain patterns I have written. The first book is an absolute amazing basic work about crochet. I just have written 6 pages, but the whole book is a must have (for german crocheters, sorry) Ihr Schatzis! Die letzte Woche war ereignisreich. Für meine Tagebuch möchte ich sie hier zusammenfassen. Zuerst landeten zwei Bücher in meinem Briefkasten. Das erste davon ist unglaublich! Das neue Standartwerk vom Frech Verlag über das Häkeln ist ein Muss für jeden Häkler, vom Anfänger bis zum engagierten Profi. Ich habe zwar nur 6 Seiten dazu beigetragen, aber werde wohl noch selbst häufig darin nachschlagen, schon allein um die korrekten Bezeichnungen für meine manchmal etwas wirren Häkeleien zu finden. Deutsch ist unten! Dearies! The last card in my blog was made with one of my favorite techniques, stamping on plastic. ( check it out here ). A friend saw the card and told me, it is much prettier ‚in real‘. I have to admit, all plastic projects look better if you can touch them. How can I take pictures of something, that isn’t visible? The glossy look and translucent effect of stamped and colored acetat is more spectacular if you see it right in front of your eyes! Nevertheless I keep using plastic in a lot of my projects. Some of it is recycled, some bought in craft stores. The last card and todays project was made with a very strong foil, meant for windowcolor projects. Does everyone remember windowcolor? We had a hype over here in Germany during the millenium, and my stash is still not all used up, hehe. For ENGLISH please scroll down. Gestern war Geburtstag im Hause Born. 53 ist die olle Oma. Heute 53 und einen Tag. Vor dem großen Tag denkt Bärbel immer „was soll das Gewese bloss“ und versucht den Tag zu ignorieren. Dann läutet das Telefon, kommt liebe Post, Freunde stehen auf der Matte und ich fühle mich wie eine Königin. Das tolle Gefühl hält meist 2-3 Tage an, und ist bis zum nächsten Geburtstag verflogen. Aber diese wunderschönen Tage habt ihr mir versüst, und zu etwas Besonderem gemacht! DANKE an alle die daran gedacht haben. Und wundert euch bitte nicht, wenn ich diesen Liebesdienst nicht zurück gebe… ich kann mir weder Daten merken noch einen Kalender benutzen. Aber ich habe euch trotzdem lieb! Besonders Danke sagen möchte ich an den guten Geist, Gott oder das Karma, welches mir ein absolut phantastisches Lebensjahr 2013/14 beschert hat!
